Job Description



The Partner Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an integral part of our elite Partner Technology and Business Development organization. Our thriving and growing Striim partner ecosystem includes public cloud services providers (Microsoft Azure, Google  Cloud, AWS)  ISVs, and system integrators. The Partner SDR will have the primary responsibility for developing new sales opportunities through our partners. 

You will work to build a base of partner leads through demand creation activities.  You will first hand develop outbound as well as internal campaigns to generate interest and opportunities leading to generation of net new prospect accounts. The activities in these campaigns include research, list development, campaign design and execution of the campaign. The execution of the campaign primarily consists of emailing, calling, and utilizing social media such as LinkedIn.

You will also be responsible for responding to inquiries from partners and to deliver the Striim value message to partners contacts. You will use a combination of research, email, and phone conversations to understand the use cases, and help identify a fit with Striim solution offers. You will be teamed with our Partner Engineers to uncover, qualify and nurture new partner referral opportunities both at a strategic and tactical level.  

The Partner Sales Development Representative will need to be capable of understanding at a high level the functionality and benefits of our product offerings to be able to match the Striim solutions to the problems faced by the end user customers. Further, the individual will need to have the ability to quickly and confidently determine whether a partner referral is qualified and then organize the engagement with the Partner Solution Architects and Engineers.

Specific Functions Associated With This Position Include

  • Following up on partner leads from trade shows, seminars, webinars, events, online marketing vehicles, etc. from initial contact and qualification to opportunity creation
  • Making outbound calls to partner contacts,  identify key players and projects
  • Writing, customizing and sending compelling emails that both provide relevant information and invite further conversation
  • Creating and executing campaigns utilizing tools such as Hubspot
  • Building great partner relationships
  • Coordinating the initial technical resources to meet with the partners
  • Reporting on the status of leads on a regular basis

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • High level of energy - an enthusiastic team player dedicated to detail and excellence
  • An extrovert who is happy to make 40 plus calls a day
  • Experience in using the internet to research companies and opportunities
  • A self-starter with excellent follow-through
  • Five years experience in the technology sector and familiarity of the Big Data and Cloud markets
  • Excellent telephone manner and skills, and a consistent professional demeanor
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Exceptional judgment with respect to the opportunities and product information
  • Must be able to thrive in an environment requiring high degree of deadline-driven productivity, commitment, and follow-through
  • Desire to work hard in a small team environment to ensure its success and the success of the company
  • Experience with Hubspot, as well as standard software such as Microsoft Office and Web applications such as LinkedIn; experience with DiscoverOrg and/or ZoomInfo a bonus.
  • Strong program planning, reporting and analytic skills
  • Experience selling or marketing B2B infrastructure software a strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
