Job Description

LaunchDarkly is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager to help developers see what’s possible with feature management. In this role, you’ll bring a hands-on technical perspective that will up level LaunchDarkly’s sales and marketing efforts and advance our ambition to eliminate risk in modern software development.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build technically authentic content: Help developers understand feature management and LaunchDarkly’s unique value to modern development practices through assets including demonstration videos, technical guides, and opinionated whitepapers.
  • Become a product expert: Collaborating closely with our product teams, deeply understand and translate LaunchDarkly’s roadmap and vision into customer-facing marketing messaging, collateral, and assets.
  • Advise and coach sales teams: Create technical enablement materials that clearly explain LaunchDarkly’s differentiated value and provide hands-on support to high leverage sales opportunities.
  • Evangelize feature management to the world: Present in webinars and other public events to promote LaunchDarkly capabilities and value.
  • Know what matters for developers: Gather insights on developer use cases, pain points and competitor offerings that will drive go-to-market plans.

 

Basic qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience working closely with, or as an embedded team member of, a software development team
  • Deep experience and familiarity with modern development practices and tools such as continuous delivery, DevOps, and cloud computing
  • A storyteller who has the creativity and writing skills to communicate technical topics with authenticity
  • A strong presenter that is credible with developer audiences

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as a sales engineer, technical product marketing manager or developer evangelist
  • Previous experience using and/or selling feature management solutions
  • Previous experience creating and delivering sales enablement materials
