Job Description
BioCatch's mission is to detect online fraudsters, with some of the largest banks in the world as their customers. BioCatch is looking for an experienced data-scientist to detect online fraud in real-time environments. As part of the data-science team, you will work on vast amounts of data to create features and improve machine-learning algorithms for detecting fraudsters while allowing genuine users to have a seamless online experience. We are looking for a data scientist with a passion for data able to implement insights end-to-end from initial analysis until final incorporation in our real-time environments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research into different types of data for the extraction of features to be implemented within the product.
- Utilize statistical, machine-learning or other mathematical methodologies for the generation of specific models or analysis of data.
- Process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Work with internal and external teams to identify issues and offer data-driven solutions.
Requirements
- 4+ years prior experience as a Data Scientist- Must
- Good scripting and programming skills in Python- Must
- Proficiency in using SQL query language- Must
- Knowledge in Spark- An advantage
- Experience working with and understanding of ML algorithms
- Advanced knowledge of statistics - ability to analyze data identify phenomena of interest and draw conclusions.
