Job Description

Resilia is a fast-growing, venture backed, mission-driven SaaS tech startup with offices in New York and New Orleans.  Resilia’s SaaS-based impact intelligence platform helps nonprofit organizations build capacity and scale programs in a data-driven manner. In parallel, the platform enables Enterprises (foundations, corporations and cities) to measure and scale the impact of their grant deployments.

Manager, People Operations

 

As the manager of People Operations, you will be hands-on and creative, shifting from strategic to tactical work while providing support and development for a rapidly growing company.  This role will ensure that Resilia offers a best-in-class experience to team members at every stage, and seeks a candidate who will bring expertise to strategies surrounding recruitment, engagement, and overall business compliance. 

 

Areas of Responsibility

  • Own the delivery and effectiveness of core HR processes and responsibilities to create an incredible employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle, include benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, & related recruitment tasks for our growing team
  • Be the go-to person on the team for employees to come to with any and all questions regarding people operations; you are the first point of contact and a trusted colleague, with discretion and integrity. 
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulations and requirements to minimize risk and exposure to the company; oversee compliance calendar and ensure all regular occurring needs are complete
  • Act as a strategic business partner and provide operational and functional leadership, as well as a hands-on generalist for the company for all things people-related
  • Proactively and thoughtfully address workplace and people operations issues on an individual and systematic basis
  • Manage day to day relationship with our PEO (Justworks) to oversee payroll and benefits services
  • Support and engage our distributed teams (regularly in New York and New Orleans, currently 25 team members operating remotely and growing) through team events and company-wide resources and communications. 
  • Analyze data and offer insight into company and team-specific programs and policies and recommend solutions to achieve team goals and objectives

 

Must Have:

  • You are deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and champion these values across initiatives
  • 5+ years of work experience in people operations, preferably with startup experience
  • SHRM or SHR certification preferred
  • Prior experience building scalable infrastructure for growing teams
  • Strong HR functional expertise; knowledgeable on New York and Louisiana employment law matters, immigration, benefits, and compliance & policy management
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgment
  • Experience navigating an HRIS system such as Justworks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with findings, employee data and company information; high level of integrity and honesty;
  • Strong service mindset to support our amazing team and build partnerships across departments
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solver, and a highly organized taskmaster
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with a passion for growth and continuous improvement
  • Team building experience a plus
