About Otrium

It’s our mission to extend the life-cycle of fashion.

We enable brands to turn their unsold inventory challenge into one of their biggest opportunities. We increase the value of previous collections by finding
the right match within our shopping community, dynamic pricing and managing fulfillment services. Through our managed marketplace, brands can
open an online direct-to-consumer outlet store with full control over pricing, merchandising and visibility.

Job Description

Do you have a passion for e-commerce and like to gain practical experience about data driven growth? Then, you might be the intern we are looking for. We are looking for an intern who will help Otrium to the next level by turning customer data into actionable insights. A unique opportunity to gain an inside perspective on an e-commerce startup and build up deep functional expertise. In short, a fun and educational internship in the heart of the company where you help to further accelerate Otrium's growth through data driven decision making.

Where would you be working?

Founded and headquartered in Amsterdam, we’re a purpose-led business – we believe all clothing should be worn.

Right now, lots of fashion stays unsold. For the resources that went in and for the people who miss out, it’s such a shame. We’re here to fix this. We are an online fashion outlet marketplace and we tech-enable designer brands to find an owner for every item they produce.

We give brands an online outlet channel and digital tools to smartly connect dynamically-priced end-of-season collections with fashion-lovers. Then we give them the data so they can reproduce most-wanted items.

Our app re-imagines outlet shopping helping customers easily find reduced-price gems. We give end-of-season fashion a new start, which is smarter for the wardrobe, smarter for the wallet and smarter for the industry.

What would you be doing?

  • Conducting and analyzing qualitative research to derive actionable insights about our customers needs, attitudes, behaviors, pain points, and preferences in both general ways (Who are they? How can we solve problems for them?) and specific ways (How can we improve this current process, product feature or marketing experience?).

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define the "questions to be answered" and then designing a testing methodology, timeline, and scope to investigate those questions.

  • Translating insight to action, identifying strategic opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations for business strategy.

  • Leading the execution and interpretation of a variety of qualitative research studies, focus groups, surveys and in the near future: proactive interviews, online discussion boards etc.

  • Preparing written research reports and other internal communications summarizing research methods, findings, and implications. Communicating the most pertinent results in a way that is useful and easy to understand.

  • Developing and maintaining company-wide best practices for qualitative research.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in leading end-to-end qualitative market research, from scoping and planning to conducting, analyzing, and reporting.

  • Experience in a variety of qualitative methods, including focus groups, surveys, proactive interviews, online discussion boards.

  • Experience applying qualitative insights to business strategy and decision making.

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and easily understandable to other teams outside of the CI team.

  • Strong communication and data visualization skills.

  • Skilled at creating impactful, engaging, and cohesive research reports.

  • Dutch or German language proficiency preferred

  • A clear, empathetic communicator (both in person and in writing)

What can you expect from us?

  • Learn and work at one of the fastest growing (fashion) start-ups in the Netherlands

  • You will get responsibility for various tasks

  • You will get great guidance and the opportunity to learn a lot

  • Get to know all facets of customer journey and experience

  • You receive a competitive internship allowance, plus there's full-time hire potential!

Ready to meet us?

So... Do you have a passion for e-commerce and data? Do you prefer to work in a young and ambitious team? Do you want to help build an international platform by creating actionable insights? Then this is the challenge for you!
