About Honor

Honor is changing the way we care for our parents. Founded in 2014, the San Francisco–based company brings workforce management and technology expertise together with high-touch, personalized care to improve the in-home care experience. Since launching the Honor Care Network in 2017, Honor has partnered with a growing roster of independently owned home care agencies to deliver reliable, transparent, and high-quality care. The Honor Care Network currently provides non-medical home care services to families in more than 800 cities and towns across the United States.

Job Description

As a platform for non-medical home care, Honor’s mission is to make sure our parents and yours can age at home with joy, comfort, and grace. As a product team, we build detailed systems that support all functions of quality care delivery, and design for a variety of audiences from Care Professionals and aging adults, to our own internal operations team. Our work truly sits at the intersection of operations, logistics, and human experience, and the challenges we face are beautifully complex and constantly evolving.

Honor’s product is first and foremost a human service—everything we design bridges technology and human workflow. We are obsessed with designing clear and simple experiences that elevate the human elements of care delivery. And we take pride in designing solutions that encompass team composition, workflow and process, as well as digital tools.

We've got a really hard-working and diverse team that's super passionate about changing the status quo. If you are a strategic designer who is driven by ownership and impact, we’d love to hear from you!

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Drive the design vision and strategy for a key product area.
  • Deeply understand and solve complex problems for our Care Pros, Clients, Partners, and internal teams.
  • Design simple, easy-to-use flows and experiences that support our users.
  • Partner with PMs, engineers, and cross-disciplinary team leaders across the company, directing user experience for products and features from concept to launch.
  • Develop deep empathy for our customers and deep knowledge of our operations.
  • Use research and data to inform design solutions.
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the product team.
  • Provide and seek feedback across the org to always push the bar for quality.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Design leadership experience, helping teams to successfully drive product growth and solve complex UX problems.
  • Extensive experience in product design, leading end-to-end design on projects and partnering with PM and Engineering to define the best possible product experience.
  • Well versed in using data and user insights to influence product decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ownership mentality.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and define clarity for yourself and your team.
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator who can work well with various groups and levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work with ease in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates experience designing and shipping complex products that customers love.
  • Humility and the desire to learn from those around you.
  • Genuine passion for Honor’s mission and the impact we can have on the world.
  • Experience designing logistics/workflow tools a plus
