This is a paid Summer 2021 Internship. This is a temporary, full-time internship. Candidates must be able to commit to a 10 week program.

 

 

In an era where every data transfer is a potential data leak, Virtru makes it possible for everyone to protect their content by offering easy email and file encryption. Are you a career driven student looking to take your first step into the world of software sales? Virtru is seeking a Sales Intern for a 10-week program for Summer 2021. Like a full time Sales Development Representative, candidates must be able to think on their feet, take initiative to assist their team, and be willing to contribute new ideas to already established processes. Interns will receive comprehensive training to prepare them for a rewarding sales career.

 

About the role: 

  • Facilitate identification and qualifying potential prospects
  • Connect with targeted prospects to deliver the Virtru value proposition
  • Outbound prospect and generate qualified sales opportunities for sales reps.
  • Use sales and marketing technologies to prospect and mange your outreach (Salesforce.com, Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Hubspot)
  • Outreach - This role involves lots of calls, emails and LinkedIn messages everyday!
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service
  • Assist with providing product information to prospective customers
  • Assist Virtru’s and SDR Team Lead by organizing and carrying out sales-related projects, possibly including: cold calling prospects, building prospect list & carrying out email marketing campaigns alongside fellow Sales Development Representatives.
  • Perform sales operations and administrative duties as needed

 

Skills & Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s, must be a rising junior or senior 
  • Possess the ability to learn quickly and embrace change
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Desire to work for a high growth start up, and okay with the changes that come along the way
  • Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week for 10 weeks
