The Marketing Team is looking for 2-3 interns to join our 12-week Summer Intern Program!

What you'll do:
A rotational internship across all marketing disciplines, including demand generation, marketing operations, product marketing, and communications. Example projects listed below:

Demand Generation

  • Learn digital marketing techniques and work on programs in paid and organic search, and account-based marketing.
  • Learn account-based marketing techniques such as applying Ideal Customer Profile analysis to target account engagement, territory warm up for new sales people, and analyzing account engagement.
  • Work on customer adoption and expansion campaigns.  

Product Marketing

  • Competitive analysis on how top competition attracts new buyers
  • Work on market research projects, distill insights, and report on results. This includes market-level research, personal development, and analysis of win rates and other factors leading to revenue growth. 
  • Work on the program management of product launches, giving you cross-functional exposure to marketing, product, and sales teams.

Marketing Operations

  • Learn best practice use of key B2B marketing technologies such as salesforce, Hubspot, Outreach, Bizible, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Sendoso, and many other best-practice tools and techniques.
  • Work on Ideal Customer Profile analysis and account research projects for targeted marketing campaigns. 

Communications

  • Write content for the corporate blog and customer newsletter, featuring the business value of Alation products and featuring customer use cases
  • Work on Share of Voice analysis of Alation vs key competitors
  • Work on internal communication projects to ensure that the Alation sales team is armed with all the information they need to win business

Who you are:

  • Class of 2022-2024, graduating with a BA/BS in business, marketing, finance, economics, sociology, or related field.
  • Great communication skills, written and spoken
  • Data driven, analytical, highly organized
  • Quick learner, self-starter
  • A strong affinity for technology
  • Previous marketing internship experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with business applications such as salesforce, marketing automation, and B2B social media is a plus but not required
