The Clover legal team is a small and nimble group that takes on novel issues that require creative solutions. You are joining a smart and scrappy group of in-house lawyers where you will proactively address legal matters that challenge you to think differently. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the company’s business leaders to anticipate and develop legal solutions.
We're looking to hire a Litigation and Regulatory Counsel to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for handling all aspects of potential litigation and investigations, including responding to subpoenas and discovery, creating and analyzing investigative plans; interviewing and preparing witnesses; and negotiating and drafting settlements. You should be a team player and ready to work in a fast paced environment!
As a Litigation and Regulatory Counsel, you will:
- Directly support smaller claims and arbitrations and supervise outside counsel on any larger matters.
- Conduct internal investigations into allegations of violations of the Code of Conduct, Company policies or law.
- Manage investigations end-to-end, including intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings with Company leadership..
- Help develop litigation strategy and devise scalable processes and procedures to ensure the litigation function scales with our business.
- Partner closely with internal teams, including other members of the legal department, risk, and compliance and related teams.
- Advise on legal, regulatory, and industry requirements relevant to the healthcare sector.
- Analyze the impact of new applicable rules and regulations.
- Advise business teams on legal issues and risks by employing practical business judgment and identifying actual practical risk.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate legal risks.
