Job Description

We our looking to expand our payroll team in San Francisco, CA. As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will be part of a team that supports payroll administration, managing different payroll needs and assisting business partners across the country. You will be instrumental in helping Grove continue to grow and evolve our payroll processes at corporate offices. 
As part of the Payroll Finance team you will also collaborate with People Experience team, Benefits, and outside payroll vendors. The ideal candidate must be detailed and organized, must maintain data privacy and support our confidentiality system. The candidate will be resourceful; solution focused and have a track record of successfully managing their time.
You are a team player and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure our US payroll is processed on a timely and accurate basis, while supporting all payroll related activities and special projects. You enjoy a fast-paced and fulfilling environment and thrive on maintaining accurate employee data in our internal systems, tracking and reporting on key payroll metrics, and ensuring all governmental reporting is submitted accurately and on time.

About the Role

    • Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll for US non-exempt and exempt employees, utilizing ADP WorkForceNow
    • Ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including base pay, payroll taxes, 401(k), statutory and supplemental benefits, etc
    • Run and audit all payroll reports
    • Understand and document underlying data from multiple sources
    • Partner with People Experience team and external partners to resolve issues related to leave of absence, benefits, and payroll
    • Process garnishments, unemployment wage claims and other tax tracers as needed
    • Design internal procedures to ensure data consistency for ease in analysis.
    • Analyze and provide payroll reports to management and colleagues
    • Assist with final and payroll check calculations and review
    • Work closely with the Payroll Lead to provide excellent customer service and be back up for payroll process as necessary
    • Perform other payroll related duties, including ad hoc projects/data requests as needed

About You

    • 3 - 5 yrs payroll experience using ADP Workforce for midsize organizations
    • Strong knowledge with ADP WFN, including the ability to quickly learn new systems
    • Understanding of wage and hour compliance as it relates to payroll operations
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Highly Proficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas)
    • Able to operate independently and with discretion and work effectively under tight deadlines
    • Ability to successfully balance competing priorities and effectively manage workload
    • Problem solver, you like to prioritize tasks and get scrappy to resolve last minute issues that arise
    • Results-oriented, accountable and highly organized
    • CPP/FPC certification a plus
