Job Description

This is a full-time Field Sales position located in the Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Atlanta or Dallas/Austin Areas.  You will be working with leading Fortune 1000 accounts (Tech, Fintech, Games, Consumer, E-Commerce, Media, Manufacturing3.0), and by nature of the territory you will also cultivate business with growth stage start-ups. This position has an attractive compensation plan.  


  1. Exceed Targets: Generate revenue for Lightbend within your territory by demonstrating sales excellence from prospecting through closure.
  2. Customer Stewardship: Ensure that Lightbend’s business will continue to grow by holding yourself accountable for your customer’s success. This means collaborating with your colleagues in a meaningful and constructive way to ensure we delight customers and grow a great company.

  • Love of learning: quickly figure out what questions to ask
  • Consistent achievement of sales targets over 3+ years selling to engineering leaders, architects, and technical and innovation business leaders.
  • An engineering degree (or equivalent) is preferred.
