About the team:

Globality has made significant investments in our AI powered source-to-contract platform, in attracting new customers and service providers to our marketplace, and in our client success and sales enablement roles. The next phase of our evolution is to grow our business development more aggressively in Europe, through the appointment of a self-starting sales leader who can help to drive direct sales, help support relevant partner channel strategy, who can also help to grow European market eminence and reputation, through a combination of direct marketing, social media and event participation. 

This sales leader would work for the European SVP Business Development to grow sales through a combination of direct sales and alliance management in Europe.

Role Summary:

As a European Go-To-Market Lead you will be responsible for the ongoing identification, development, and assessment of new business opportunities in Europe. Responsible for developing extensive executive relationships in client organizations that lead to significant new business for Globality. Working with the customer success team in Globality to identify and qualify leads and convert these into signed sales opportunities.

Developing a portfolio of strategic opportunities, selecting the most attractive opportunities (forward leaning CPO’s, CFO’s in G2000 companies) based on proactive market screening, account targeting, and business analysis techniques for potential engagement. They will work collaboratively with Globality colleagues, other partners, and outside consultants, as appropriate. They are responsible for the ongoing qualification of these opportunities and recommend whether the opportunity should be formally engaged in a formal business development pursuit. You will lead and own the opportunities until commencement of a formal engagement, facilitating the transition to the scaling and adoption phase, and stay involved after engagement in larger deals, as appropriate.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting appropriate channels and clients to target to grow the European business, qualifying opportunities appropriately
  • Drive pursuit, and closure of deals that drive significant European and global revenue, working closely with Globality colleagues
  • Work closely with Globality marketing to guide the marketing and social media strategy and execution for Europe
  • Work closely with the SVP of Business Development EMEA and global Chief Revenue Officer to develop the longer-term growth strategy for Europe
  • Be an active member of the European and global management teams to help the business be successful and be a great place to work for colleagues

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years’ experience with global Procurement Transformation with blue chip organizations, across business sectors
  • Extensive experience in a sales environment with a proven business development track record
  • Experience working within a highly-matrixed client organization and able to influence and drive change in such an environment
  • Track record of success in a multi-stakeholder environment and experience of large-scale business transformation
  • Deep experience of procurement systems, finance systems and AI
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate information-intensive and complex interactions in plain language, across Europe
  • Experience driving marketing and social media campaigns, ideally in procurement and AI
  • Experience working in a small start-up environment, being a creative self-starter, who can work hands on and who can motivate and lead teams
