Job Description

Exo is seeking a high caliber member to join our Asia operations team located in Taiwan. You will be working as a team with both headquarter and subcontractor to manage overall manufacturing platform including trouble shooting, yield analysis, yield improvement and automation for our multimillion revenue products.

 

Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for providing manufacturing support for existing products in our contract manufacturer for developing and introducing new products and equipment. 
  • Designing and developing manufacturing procedures, tooling, and fixtures that result in sufficient capacity to meet customer demand while also promoting product quality, process efficiency, and operator safety. 
  • Providing production line support including, but not limited to, implementing process improvements, troubleshooting equipment, improve process margin. 
  • Generating and modifying manufacturing process documentation and assuring that manufacturing processes and related documentation follow established policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in identifying equipment needs on the production floor and evaluating internal and external options for sourcing such equipment. 
  • Analysing yield data using statistical solveware and drive continuous yield improvement with the contract manufacturer and internal teams. 
  • Developing and releasing new products using customer or internal specifications. 
  • Writing and executing process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ). 
  • Working with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing Departments during the concept, prototyping, and release of new products. 
  • Working with the Internal Audit team to perform annual schedule of quality system audits.
  • Performing equipment maintenance by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures. 
  • Other assignments as requested.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Masters degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in high volume manufacturing environment. Medical device experience highly desirable.  
  • Good track record transforming R&D products to high volume manufacturing products is required.
  • Experience in ACF bonding, assembly processes with complex electronic systems such as PCBA, thermal conductive material, epoxy application, conformal coating and hermatic seal will have extra advantage.
  • Proven ability to build and inspire engineering teams in a high paced environment.  Cross functional management experience required 
  • Fluent speaking of Chinese and English is plus.

 

Other Requirements (Travel, etc.):

This position will be

stationed in Taiwan with frequent (15%) travel to Exo headquarter in Redwood City CA after elimination of the company Covid 19 restrictions.  Exo maintains a safe work environment so this will be a work from home position until the company has determined it is safe to return to an office environment.
