Job Description

Champions Oncology provides an end-to-end range of oncology research and development solutions and services that improve the productivity of drug development. As a growing Contract Research Organization (CRO), our work environment is fast-paced, challenging and ever adapting to meet the needs and timelines of our pharmaceutical-clients. Our team is passionate and self-motivated working together to accelerate the challenges of oncology drug development and ultimately improve patients’ lives around the world. 

 

Job classification and location: Full-time, salary (exempt) in Rockville, MD/ Remote US   

 

Job overview

Work alongside our development and data science teams to design and maintain a highly scalable architecture in AWS while modernizing our current applications and data for high availability in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills across many AWS solution products and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Duties and responsibilities are: 

  • Participate in developing documentation and Knowledge Base technical articles on Company products.
  • Support both internal and external users of our cloud resources.
  • Interact with various internal teams to efficiently resolve complex technical issues.
  • Maintain solution architecture for enterprise applications that are secure, reliable, and cost effective following AWS best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS or equivalent in Computer Science or related degree
  • Proficiency in a modern programming language (Python/ JavaScript preferred)
  • AWS certification (preferred)
  • Experience building and maintaining containerized applications
  • Linux administration experience
  • 3+ years AWS experience

Physical demands and  work environment

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time using a computer in a typical office environment in a multi-level facility
