Job Description

HackerOne is seeking a Senior Product Manager who is technical, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Successful candidates for this role will have a track record of effectiveness in cross-functional leadership, communication, and collaboration. 
You will own key areas of the product as you drive product strategy, vision, and innovation in your domain. You will work hand in hand with our founders, engineers, designers, and other key cross-functional partners and stakeholders to deliver impactful advances in the product that drive key business results. 
You have a knack for identifying problems, articulating the value proposition, and building consensus around your vision with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Journey at HackerOne 
Initially, this role would focus on Hacker-to-Program engagement, nurturing the health of our 2-sided marketplace, in which customers operate security programs, while HackerOne facilitates the application of security expertise from our community of hackers. In particular, your work will help to maximize the health of our customers’ programs by maximizing the engagement of our hacker community in those programs. By maximizing hacker engagement, you also help to create and distribute exciting opportunities for them to learn, grow, and earn on the HackerOne platform.

Journey Includes

  • Define and execute product roadmap for your domain, in alignment with overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Understand the competitive landscape to identify market trends, key underserved customer needs, and new opportunities
  • Collaborate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to discover, organize, and prioritize prospective new capabilities and solutions for your product domain
  • Adopt a mindset of product iteration through analytical experiments and calculated risks
  • Partner with key stakeholders in the organization to position and launch winning product go-to-market strategies
  • Work with designers to create product experiences that users love
  • Actively engage with Customer and Hacker Success teams and Marketing to ensure successful product launches and adoption
  • Develop familiarity with information security, vulnerability disclosure, bug bounty, hacker community and culture, vulnerability management, and other domain areas
  • Empathize with your target users to identify their pain points and use this lens to create delightful user experiences
  • Become an expert in hacker-powered security, ready to discuss and demonstrate technical details with developers, designers, support engineers, and customers on a daily basis

Who You Are

  • 4+ years experience in product management at a fast-growing software company
  • Track record of success delivering products and features that drive business results
  • Technical background particularly working with web and cloud-based platforms
  • Experience working with Agile Software methodology
  • Analytical mindset and experience with A/B testing and experimentation techniques
  • Competitive and market intelligence research skills 
  • Strong history working with design and development teams (references will be requested)
  • Positive, collegial, professional and team-oriented demeanor
  • Demonstrable communication and presentation skills
  • Prior experience and success leading cross-functional teams remotely

Optional

  • Bachelor’s degree - especially in a scientific or technical discipline
  • Master’s degree -  MBA or a Master of a scientific or technical discipline
  • Prior track record in rapidly scaling product adoption
  • Domain experience with security products or services
