About the role
We are stoked to be growing our Finance team! The Revenue Manager will be an intricate part of leveling up the financial infrastructure and practices at dutchie. This individual will take the lead on the consolidation of the revenue recognition processes at the month-end while assisting in creating new practices and finding efficiencies along the way. You will leverage internal systems to ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. Another area of focus will be leveling up our management of contracts internally by partnering with Sales, Success, and Legal. To be the best in this role, you’ll approach every situation with the “how can I do this better?” mindset, collaborate constantly and inter-departmentally, and love what you do knowing that it will be a grind, but one that is well worth it.
What you'll do...
- Author accounting memos on new sales arrangements to ensure revenue recognition following company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards under ASC 606
- Research accounting guidance and document our position on revenue transactions
- Responsible for reviewing financial statements and performing fluctuation analyses of deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and revenue accounts.
- Review month-end close activities, such as reviewing transactions, reviewing manual journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare complex work papers for month-end close activities.
- Track and review contracts and orders before they are finalized and entered into the system to ensure all documentation is in compliance with company policy
- Assist in the development of controls over the data used for reporting revenue.
- Collaborate with other departments across the business on pending deals and process improvement opportunities - as it affects revenue recognition.
- Prepare audit schedules and assist with the external audit process
- Assist in special projects and other duties as appropriate.

Who you are...
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 5 years of Accounting or Finance experience
- CPA and public accounting experience is a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of ASC 340 & 606
- Team player all-day with the ability to be a major contributor as an individual
- Ability to think creatively and critically, and thrive in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP Implementation experience is a plus
- Salesforce, Chargebee & SaaSOptics experience is a plus
- Ability to work at a fast pace with constantly changing priorities
- Leadership experience is a plus
