About Weaveworks

Founded in 2014, Weaveworks makes it fast and simple for developers and DevOps teams to build and operate powerful containerized applications. We minimize the complexity of operating workloads in Kubernetes by providing automated continuous delivery pipelines, observability and monitoring through the process we pioneered, GitOps. One of the first members of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, Weaveworks is the company behind popular Kubernetes tools like Flux, Scope, Cortex, EKSCTL (the official CLI for Amazon EKS) and the flagship enterprise product Weave Kubernetes Platform (WKP).

Our mission is to help the world’s leading organizations adopt Kubernetes and other Cloud Native technologies and working practices. Organizations use our products and services to build better software and operate it reliably, at scale. Our approach brings together container-based application deployment, Kubernetes, and operations tooling in a model we call GitOps.

The Role

You will be responsible for evangelizing, positioning, and guiding Weaveworks solutions, our GitOps approach and methodologies to new and existing customers with partners ranging from cloud providers like AWS, GCP & Microsoft Azure to other companies in the cloud-native ecosystem like Cilium, GitHub, Hashicorp, and Kong. As a Partner Solutions Architect you will be responsible for helping deliver and exceed revenue goals in tandem with partner sales managers. This role will be partnered with a US East Coast based partnership team and the ideal candidate is located in a time zone between GMT-5 & GMT-7. This position is suitable for someone who relishes the challenge of being involved with cutting-edge technologies and complex customer needs.

What you’ll be doing:

You will manage all stages of the pre-sales engagement with customers originating through our partnerships; ranging from qualification of business alignment to the determination of the technical fit of the customer requirements. This involves developing, updating and presenting technical demonstrations as well as establishing innovative technical programs (such as workshops and centers of excellence) in collaboration with our partners. You, in partnership with the partner account team will define and document customer business drivers, problem statements, and technical requirements. Working as a team member to create solution proposals and statements of work collaboratively with the Partner Sales and the Services Deal-Desk.

  • Lead a proactive approach to customer pre-sales activities as a technical voice of the company
  • Act as a technical liaison for customer driven partner POCs and integrations
  • Strive to provide the right solutions and technologies for our customers that benefit them and us
  • Collaborate across the organization, with your peers and sales stakeholders
  • Work cross functionally to identify and architect solutions that use our products and services to their greatest potential
  • Thrive in a diverse and globally distributed team environment

We’re looking for you if you:

  • Have extensive presales work experience within a cloud native practice
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud native tools and technologies
  • Kubernetes's certifications such as CKA, AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Development experience using technologies such as Go, Git, GitHub, Terraform and Helm charts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Bonus Points if you:

  • Have prior experience working on open-source projects
  • Have a breadth of SRE and DevOps engineering practice expertise

The fine print

  • You must be able to work legally in the country employed
  • This is a full time employee position
  • You must not only be comfortable working in a remote location, but have a high internet bandwidth working environment that can support uninterrupted video conferencing
  • As a for-profit company that is deeply committed to open-source, you will find yourself working with a team who are passionate about achieving success in both.
  • Not open to recruitment agencies
