The Role:

The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a worldwide HR strategy for ForgeRock.  The position reports to the CEO and works closely with the executive team who are located in the US and the UK.  The Chief People Officer is supported by a growing global team of 25+ HR & Talent Acquisition professionals and the preferred location for this role is San Francisco, CA.

This position will develop HR initiatives to support the business needs and strategic direction of ForgeRock, in areas such as talent management, change management, training & development, performance & engagement, and compliance.  The candidate will have demonstrable expertise with global employment and localized business practices, and extensive background working with the C-suite.  The candidate will also have experience of taking a company public and having been in a Pre-IPO company as well as a publicly-traded company.

You will be a functioning member of ForgeRock’s Executive Leadership Team and will participate in the discussion and decision making of all key company initiatives.  You will work directly with the CEO as a trusted confidant and will work to ensure that we create a highly functioning executive management team.

  • Serve as the strategic business advisor to the executive management team, effectively connecting ForgeRock’s mission & vision to our people practices. Partner with the CEO and executive management to direct organizational planning efforts around the corporate structure, job design, headcount forecasting, etc.​ Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. ​
  • Own ForgeRock’s employee value proposition, positioning ForgeRock as an employer of choice through people-centric best practices to promote employee engagement. ​
  • In conjunction with our Global Head of Talent, develop our global talent acquisition philosophy, and put the framework in place to continue agile & scalable growth. Ensure recruitment & retention plans meet the human capital needs of the company.
  • Possess and maintain knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws, issues and cultural norms. ​ Use this knowledge and expertise to implement effective worldwide programs. ​
  • Develop Total Compensation programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards to support our performance-based culture.
  • Define Learning & Development strategies that are aligned with organizational needs.
  • Manage Board level communication of HR initiatives & issues, policy, and planning efforts.
  • Diligently manage scalable growth in consideration of a potential IPO.
  • Approximately 30-40% travel.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven HR expertise and background with increasing levels of accountability and seniority, with significant time, spent working with high energy executive teams
  • Demonstrable background and expertise operating at a global, multi-national, publicly-traded company preferably in an enterprise software company.
  • Degree or a higher level of qualification from an accredited institution.
  • HR certification(s) desired.
