Job Description
One of our portfolio companies, a a young stealth startup with strong backing, developing an innovative, multi-modal, and data-driven approach to disease biomarker discovery, is seeking for a highly-motivated and experienced software person to join their data science and big-data analytics team. This exciting team includes veteran professionals, experienced entrepreneurs, and alums of The Technion, Harvard, TAU, Google, Weizmann Institute and more.
Responsibilities:
● Curation and Implementation of data pipelines and experiments on common industry platforms.● Integration of clinical data with molecular information through state-of-the-art infrastructure.● Work across platforms, infrastructure, and cloud services.● Work closely with scientists and clinicians on new discoveries and data interpretation.● Designing and implement new tools to capture data sets, optimizing for traceability and ease of use.● Staying current with best practices and internally promote new techniques/ideas.
Requirements
● Startup Mentality: Start with YES; Answers inspire more questions; and Being purpose-driven.● Advanced Degree in CS / EE / Math / BioEng with biology-oriented research.● Experience in either big data infrastructure or signal processing in a medical context.● Self-learner – Ability to learn new modalities and dev environments● Prior work on database infrastructure● Proficient in Python, R, MATLAB and/or other scripting languages● Ability to work independently and collaboratively, while meeting scheduled deadlines in a fast-paced environment● Highly organized, exceptional attention to details
● Strong Advantage if you also come with:
- Experience in working on clinical data through common EHR data types and HMO infrastructure
- Experience working in a regulated environment with documentation requirements
- Experience or knowledge on GCP infrastructure
