    • Supporting technical business development activities.

Required Competencies:

    • Strong background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar.
    • 5+ years of work experience.
    • Knowledge of spacecraft/satellite needs and requirements.
    • Strong hands-on skills in any area, including small hand tools, machining, soldering, test equipment operation. (Note: this position does not require lab work, but requires a strong understanding of it)
    • Previous experience developing systems for space or for a similar harsh and/or regulated environment (i.e. underwater, airborne, medical devices).
    • Strong technical project management skills.
    • Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to clearly convey technical concepts to a lay audience.
    • Previous experience integrating complex electro-mechanical systems.
    • Experience planning for, and executing, testing of prototypes.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, R&D environment.

Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Experience designing and analyzing space systems.
    • Experience with space system test sequences (acceptance, qualification, etc.).
    • Experience with spacecraft/satellite mission planning and/or operations.
    • Electric or chemical space propulsion experience.
    • Experience modeling physical systems using Python, Matlab, or similar.
    • Orbital, Electromagnetic, thermal, structural, FEA analysis experience using tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, Thermal Desktop, STK, etc.
    • SolidWorks and Altium Designer proficiency.
