The Senior Product Data Analyst works in close collaboration with business, platform and engineering leaders to define and refine how data is managed across the enterprise, and to identify opportunities for generating new data and insights that will improve the product, learner and customer experiences. This Senior Analyst is responsible for documenting existing processes, recommending new or improved data management techniques and consistently applying EVERFI’s framework for data governance across the organization.


  • Document and optimize the stakeholders, processes and tools that make up the data ecosystem in partnership with the data governance team. This includes conducting  interviews to thoroughly document where data is stored, how it flows and how it is manipulated. 
  • Find and capitalize on opportunities to convert ad-hoc reporting into centralized and productized internal and customer-facing dashboards and reports.
  • Define and capture the data necessary to measure customer success, track feature rollouts and monitor long-term performance of products in partnership with the development teams.
  • Build informative and insightful automated dashboards and self-service reporting tools to curate metrics and surface key data and insights to inform decisions throughout the product life cycle.
  • Identify new data and new ways to uncover insights that can inform the development of products in alignment with user and customer needs.
  • Assist product management team members with product data analysis and best practices in implementing product analytics tools.
  • Maintain current knowledge on new tools and trends for product data and analytics management and insights.
  • Reinforce the adoption of data process and data capabilities across the organization.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Data Analyst, Product Manager or Business Analyst; 4 years preferred
  • Experience with documenting systems, processes and policies, preferably around data
  • Experience building dashboards and reports for various audience using data visualization tools; Tableau, Google Data Studio or Power BI preferred
  • Experience implementing and optimizing the full stack of product analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Pendo and LogRocket required
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to work independently
  • Experience working within agile, iterative development teams, SCRUM preferred
  • Experience influencing customer-facing products
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information 
  • Data-driven, detail-oriented with excellent storytelling and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative, excellent listening and communication skills 
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner and to adjust quickly to changing priorities
  • Working knowledge of digital optimization tools (i.e. Optimizely) preferred
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems (i.e. Salesforce) and development management system (i.e. JIRA) preferred
