Your next career: 

The Security Engineer is a core member of our platform team and will work closely with Product and Engineering teams across multiple product verticals.  This position will focus on overall application security across all engineering teams in Fabric Inc.  In addition to being a security champion, you will also be responsible for designing and building critical parts of our software stack to keep our customers data safe.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in application security and is a hands-on technologist;  A person who is comfortable with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required.  You will work with other engineers, management, product management, QA, and operations team to develop secured solutions that are easy to adopt and maintain.  You will proactively identify security risks and vulnerabilities within the Fabric ecosystem and work with stakeholders to address critical issues in a timely manner.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement secure solutions for platform components such as user authentication / authorization used by all Fabric engineering teams
  • Conduct security reviews for new and existing software systems within Fabric
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs and asset with vendor selection with security in mind
  • Standardize and champion security best practices across engineering teams
  • Assist systems integration with Fabrics customers to ensure security best practices
  • Monitor security vulnerabilities disclosures and work with engineering stakeholders to ensure timely remediations
  • Coordinate with external security testing and certification agencies

What you bring to the table: 

  • 5+ years of prior experience in security engineering/applications security
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ Years of experience with AWS and other cloud platform providers
  • Experience designing and implementing security critical software components and systems
  • Experience working across teams to drive adoption of security best practices
  • Experience with server-less solutions
  • Experience with automation to discover security vulnerabilities
  • Prior OWASP training / participation is preferred
  • You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
