The NPI Engineer is responsible to bring the product or component from development to high-volume manufacturing.  In order to meet that goal, the NPI engineer will interact with engineering and manufacturing partners through the lifetime of the product.  NPI Engineer will work with the design team to improve and modify designs to help to meet the requirements in touchtime, yield, reliability, certification and else. NPI Engineer will deliver a lean manufacturing process, PFMEA and Control Plan, and released Standard work chart.



  • Manage and coordinate NPI APQP projects with R&D and manufacturing partners
  • Own the product manufacturability from the development stage-gates to end-of-life
  • Validate processes to meet automotive manufacturing requirement
  • Work with the automation and test teams to develop test and production equipment
  • Support the pilot line and manufacturing floor with troubleshooting issues
  • Develop and analysis PFMEA, Control plan, KPIs, Cps and GR&R
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing plan (capacity, test, equipment, etc.)
  • Design, document and improve manufacturing processes, procedures and work instructions
  • Responsible for assigned components or products through their life cycle
  • Responsible for the performance of his product in manufacturing
  • Responsible for product change management
  • Make sure the product meets the highest requirements and product roadmap
  • Collaborate with the design team and provide design feedback for manufacturability, serviceability, and reliability
  • Performs other related duties as required by management

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS (or MS) degree in Electronics, Optics, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years’ experience in automotive, telecommunications and/or high technologies
  • Experienced in New Product Introduction, working with R&D and Manufacturing Partners
  • Experienced with APQP/PPAP with automotive OEMs
  • Experienced with stage-gate processes and product development
  • Experienced with ECO process controls, and production processes controls
  • Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems through fact-based decision-making processes
  • Bilingual both Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experiences in ISO/IATF16949
  • Experiences or courses in Lean and/or Six sigma or DFSS a plus
  • Experience in VDA 6.3 Audit
