Job Description

Datafold is a data observability platform that helps Data teams move faster and with higher confidence by automating data quality analysis, monitoring, and common repetitive tasks in data engineering workflow. It’s a category-defining product in a rapidly growing data domain.
As businesses increasingly rely on Analytics and Machine Learning, Data teams are facing unprecedented complexity of data and infrastructure. Lack of visibility into data quality and performance of data pipelines causes massive inefficiencies and costly business mistakes. If you are not very familiar with the data domain, the nature of our product is similar to APM tools such as Prometheus, Datadog and New Relic: we collect and integrate metadata about our customers data infrastructure, pipelines and datasets and provide valuable insights.
Our product has been rapidly evolving and is already regularly used by over 100 data professionals from companies including Patreon and Thumbtack.
We are a highly technical team with deep expertise in the Data domain: our founders built real-time telemetry systems and scaled some of the world’s largest data platforms at Autodesk and Lyft. Our company is backed by top-tier investors including YCombinator & NEA.

As Head of Marketing, you will spearhead Datafold's growth, develop our brand and positioning to establish Datafold as the leader of the Data Observability tooling category. As a core member of the management team, you will be leading all marketing activities from social media and advertising to blog and community events and other creative initiatives. You will be responsible for demand generation & product marketing, build the foundation of our marketing assets, activities, and processes, and will build the team to take it to the next level. 

You will

  • Set up lead generation channels: develop and test hypotheses to find sustainable and effective ways to acquire customers.
  • Define our product positioning & brand: learn our customers’ workflows and biggest pain points and find the most efficient way to communicate the value of Datafold. You will own our website, blog, newsletter, and social media channels and ensure a strong brand identity across all of them.
  • Nurture partnerships and build the Datafold ecosystem: In B2B SaaS no tool wins alone, that's why we focused early on partnerships with major vendors and thought leaders in the Data space You will build relationships with our partners, leverage partner platforms, and explore co-marketing opportunities.
  • Set and report team goals and budgets: Together with our CEO, you will regularly review the strategy and optimize our marketing channels to maximize your KPIs (#MQLs, #SQLs, etc.)

Your Profile

  • 2+ years experience as Senior Manager+ Marketing role, preferably within Data or Developer Tools space
  • Experience running successful Marketing campaigns across channels (e.g., Content, SEO, Ads, Events, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with Hubspot is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities in an evolving business environment and coordinate multiple projects
