Role: Data Engineer (Mater Data Management)

Team: Product Implementation

Location: Salt Lake City, UT or US Remote

Travel: Approximately 5-10%, U.S.

What you'll own:

The Data Engineer leverages the Catalyst’s Data Operating System to acquire and manage source data. Data Engineers become accustomed to both the technical and business details of the source systems and engage with multiple technologies in the acquisition of the source data
Transforming source data into standardized structures
Documenting implementation processes
Installing, configuring and supporting the Multivue MDM tool in client environments
Presenting to clients on the products and the specifics of implementation
Training of client team members on the tooling and governance processes for MDM
Seeking continual improvement for our processes to ensure quality and efficiency

Experience you'll need:

Intermediate level in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and an understanding of the healthcare domain
Understanding of patient or provider identity resolution processes (MDM / EMPI tools)
Familiarity with development methodologies, including the AGILE development approaches
Ability to take pride in the quality, details, efficiency, and consistency of the data warehouse components you’ll be helping build, deploy, and maintain at scale.

Experience you'll find useful:

Prior experience working with healthcare data and patient matching tools
Experience using PowerShell
Experience with Mongo DB
Prior experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, etc)
Stored Procedure/T-SQL experience
Experience with processing HL7 messages, CCD documents, and EDI X12 Claims files.
Ability to code and comprehend code around technologies that deal with acquiring data
Exposure to C#/.Net

Frameworks/Standards – ASP.NET Web API, OData, OAuth2, OIDC, Angular
Healthcare Specific Standards – HL7v2, CCD, FHIR
Restlet, Postman, Insomnia, or similar API tools

Languages in use here that you may be involved with (* - required):

C# / .NET

Education & Relevant Experience

Bachelor’s degree in technology, or healthcare related degree
2+ years’ experience in healthcare/technology related field
