The IT Applications Engineer will partner with Exabeam’s Sales, Customer Success, and other internal teams to design, customize, and maintain business applications. This position will play an important role in customization and automation work, as well as integration of cloud-based tools, including Salesforce, Gainsight and Professional Services Automation.

Responsibilities

    • Design and build customizations using Salesforce technologies (Apex, Lightning components, Visualforce, etc.)
    • Maintain existing customizations and adapt them to evolving business needs
    • Support business operations, including integrations and optimizations
    • Partner with business teams to build out requirements for new processes that incorporate IT best practices, translating business needs into effective tools within Salesforce
    • Assist in business systems implementations, testing, rollout, and user training
    • Own the full application development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and ongoing support
    • Create and maintain documentation for integrations and other customizations
    • Support and maintain existing systems, including troubleshooting issues reported by users
    • Strong technical skills and ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication ­skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, while closely collaborating with other groups in the company, all while working remotely with a geographically distributed team
    • Curiosity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment that will challenge organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to learn while producing positive results for end users on the job daily
    • Capable of growing with the company

Qualifications

    • 3+ year’s experience developing Salesforce customizations and integrations
    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS or IT, or equivalent work experience
    • Strongly prefer candidates with a background working in IT teams
    • Salesforce certification is preferred
    • Expertise with Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Component Development
    • Expertise with Python, Java, or similar object-oriented programming language
    • Experience with relational databases and SQL/SOQL
