Job Description

We’re looking for an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Lead to help our IT Access team manage user permissions, as well as secure and audit our services and internal tools.

What you’ll be doing

As the IAM Lead, you will help scale the IT Access team, plan broader team objectives on a bi-annual basis, strive toward automating permissions through services like Okta, set processes for user auditing and approval flows, resolve security issues as they arise, and work with all teams in Wise to ensure we create the best, most secure IAM experience possible.

The IT Access team works with our IT Infrastructure, IT Automation, IT Support and Security teams to perform due diligence on new services, identify opportunities to improve configurations, processes, and leverage technology to create a seamless experience.

With the help of your team you’ll also be working with teams throughout the company to configure new services, act as a gatekeeper to avoid replicating solutions, as well as tracking metrics around workloads to flag what to automate and when to hire.


Your day-to-day

  • Monitor the workload of your team to plan hiring
  • Identify and resolve issues where services aren’t optimally configured in line with our IAM Policy
  • Work cross-team to standardise IAM practices in Wise
  • Lead projects for onboarding tools and services to manage IAM in Wise
  • Improve policies and processes while striving to keep things simple and effective
  • Monitor service heatmaps and user audits, communicate with other teams and prioritise solutions
  • Ensure that supporting infrastructure caters to the needs of our users with the help of Security & other IT subteams
  • Review escalated new service requests, understand why a team is requesting the service & what problem they are trying to solve. This also means redirecting teams to existing resources to avoid having multiple solutions to the same problem
  • Maintain the IT Access Wiki to ensure self help solutions are well communicated and team processes are documented
  • Resolving incoming access requests with your team as time allows

  • You have great people skills and are able to be assertive, diplomatic, collaborative or supportive as the situation requires
  • You’re able to cope under pressure when things crop up
  • Experience with Okta, and an IT background is a huge bonus, but candidates who are quick learners and naturally proficient with technology are welcome to apply
