About Figma

Figma is the first professional-grade online tool created specifically for interface design. Born on the Web, Figma helps the entire product team create, test, and ship better designs, faster.

Job Description

Figma is adding to our team of passionate people who are revolutionizing the world of design. We are building a browser-based design tool that looks and feels as good as a native application and has all the additional power and advantages that come from being built upon the web platform. If you’re looking to work at a company that is building the future of design tools, welcome to Figma.

The Employee Engagement Manager just may be the most fun role at Figma. You’ll be a key partner in the evolution of Figma’s employee engagement programs, from our company-wide signature experiences like Maker Week and Café Figma, to the moments of surprise and delight that we build into day-to-day life here. Working closely with the CEO, VP People, and other cross-functional partners throughout the business, you will design Figma’s in-person and virtual experiences, programs, and events that foster Figma’s values. We know that employee engagement isn’t just about holiday parties and happy hours (though you’ll make those happen too!). In this role, you’ll get to think more holistically about how we truly make warm, inclusive spaces where others feel welcome.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Developing and executing programs/events that increase connection among Figmates, promote our values, and evolve based on Figmates’ needs
    • Masterminding the creation and execution of Figma's engagement “editorial calendar”
    • Owning major cross-functional engagement projects such as Maker Week (including everything from overall theme to special SWAG, and from kickoff to closing ceremonies!)
    • Own and evolve our internal SWAG programs overall (trust us--this is stuff you actually want to use)
    • Exercising both your creativity and pragmatism every day as you work with Figmates across the business to leverage their energy into employee-offered events and programs
    • Partnering frequently with the CEO and other exec leaders on their participation in meaningful engagement projects and strategies

You might be a good fit if you have:

    • 6+ years of experience working in People Operations/Engagement/Communications or related roles in a dynamic, high-growth environment
    • A proven track record of leadership in experience design and/or culture-building programs
    • A creative and optimistic approach to your work--you’ve often thought outside the box, and generally think “why not?” instead of just “why?”
    • Superb communication skills--you know that storytelling is a key component of engagement, and you have past success in inspiring and motivating others through your communications
    • Excellent prioritization chops—you can distinguish between the important and urgent, and know-how to appropriately tackle each challenge
    • Project and budget management skills--you’ve managed big events with real price tags, and know how to deal with vendors, internal and external stakeholders, and beyond
