Job Description

About the Role

Lob's first API helps you programmatically send physical mail at scale. Our second is address verification—officially CASS-certified by the USPS. But our long-term goal is to provide the building blocks for developers to automate the offline world through APIs. We’re looking for great problem-solvers to help us figure out how. We offer remote working opportunities in California, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, and Illinois. You can also work onsite at our San Francisco headquarters.

Our mission is to change the way companies interact with the offline world. And our company is looking for a talented full-stack product designer to join our product design team. Under the direction of the Product Design Manager, you will ship world-class features that are a joy to use and gain experience in multiple areas of design: user research, wireframing, interaction design, UI studies, and design components.

Our Product Design team focuses on our customers and their business needs. We contribute from the concept all the way to the building of world-class product experiences by partnering with Product Managers, Software Engineers and other cross-functional teams. This role reports Product Design Manager.

What you’ll do:

  • Champion design thinking and user research, pushing yourself to quickly iterate and prototype and validate ideas in front of real customers. 
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to turn complex problems with our print partner network into intuitive user experiences.
  • Create concepts and prototypes for new products across different product lines. 
  • Reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong user research skills: You’re a problem solver that can process complex data and workflows.
  • 2 years of experience designing products in a technology company.
  • Prior experience with complex enterprise B2B/dashboard products
  • Proficient with Figma/Sketch
  • Communication style: you’re super proactive, you take initiatives and ask questions
  • A strong sense of design fundamentals, including iconography, typography, color, and data visualization & interest in improving design skills and learning about component-based design approach.
