Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
 
The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for supporting NeueHealth’s pharmacy operations. The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for providing support to clinical programs, managing oversight of the drug pipelines (generic and new brands), and providing support to each market to increase drug affordability, improve quality measures and positively impact the member experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This position is partially remote. It will require frequent travel as well.
    • Design, implement, test and manage preferred drug-lists
    • Design, implement, test and manage clinical program solutions that increase affordability, improve quality measures, and positively impact member experience
    • Develop and maintain clinical pharmacy policies
    • Oversee pharmaceutical pipeline intelligence (new brand and generic drug releases) and quantify utilization and cost trend impacts to both general marketplace and product plans
    • Develop and manage project workplans to meet key deliverables
    • Meet with providers in-person and remotely to educate and advise
    • Create educational materials for providers and staff
    • Provide expert pharmacy support to market teams

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervision of coordinators, students and interns, as assigned

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

    • A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree is required; a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) is preferred
    • Three (3) years’ experience in the pharmacy industry required
    • Knowledge and experience of Medicare Part D, Individual & Family Plans (IFP), Commercial and Medicaid pharmacy business is preferred
    • License to practice pharmacy in relevant states required (must be licensed in Florida and California)

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

    • Strong writing and presentation skills
    • Capable of influencing provider prescribing behavior through education and support
    • Proficient in simplifying complex clinical information into tactical clinical programs that reduce pharmacy costs and promote quality measures
    • Comfortable following timeline driven workplans and managing multiple projects
    • Strong operational mindset and ability to use data to draw insights
    • Must thrive in collaborative environments

LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS

    • Active and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in any US state
