Job Description

We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

As Part-145 Maintenance Manager for Line- and Base Maintenance you are directly reporting to the Accountable Manager. It is your responsibility to ensure that the P-145 organization complies with all applicable standards and regulations while the organization is performing maintenance, repairs and defect rectification also arising on a short term.

Your missions during this fligh:

  • You arrange and optimize the Part-145 organizational structure by the means of defining its future capabilities such as airframe, avionics, battery, powerplant, composite repair, interior, paint, component shop, specialized work, etc.
  •  You monitor applicable regulations, mandatory to proof compliance, necessary to keep the organization’s approval valid
  • You issue, monitor and adapt the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE)
  •  You issue, monitor and adapt maintenance processes, procedures and standards
  • You compute and recompute the man-hour plan, as required
  • You perform and reflect the personnel management
  •  You identify needs for Volocopter to contribute actively to rulemaking activities
  • You identify and support the establishment of requirements, concepts, rules and solutions that are required for Volocopter at different Line-Stations
  • You establish and solidify an advanced interaction with the Continuous Airworthiness Management Organization (Part-CAMO)
  • During the Part-145 preparation- and start-phase you are working as a certifying staff, primarily for Base Maintenance work packages
  • You support and promote a safety culture based on integrity and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Holding a Part-66 License CAT C
  • Experience in a P-145 Organization for 5 years or more
  • Expertise in personnel management
  • Knowledge of Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 and its Annexes
  • Knowledge of IR 2019/1383
  • Experience with national and international auditors
  • Intrinsic flight safety awareness
  • Ability and willingness to work in an agile and fast-growing organization
  • Allrounder with both sound theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in the above-mentioned subjects
  •  Languages: English fluent (written and spoken); German is a plus; further languages beneficial
  • Experience in a Part-21 environment or involvement in Part-21 and MRO collaboration beneficial
  • Knowledge of ICAO Annexes 19 beneficial
  • Willingness to travel in Germany, Europe, Asia and other regions as necessary
