Job Description

This primary focus of this position is to assist in the maintenance and reporting of key segments of NEA’s proprietary database and the dissemination of data and related analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

·         Analyze, review, collect and maintain Portfolio Company data within a proprietary database.  This includes:

o   Ability to independently review, analyze and summarize financing deal documents for entry into a proprietary database

o   Entry of supplemental information including budget and plan data

o   Completion of recurring monthly close responsibilities including public sales stock reconciliations, note/warrant expirations, liquidation preference review, valuation uploads

o   Ownership of the portfolio company capitalization table process including the request, tracking and entry of data

o   Review of portfolio company financial information for accuracy as well as other potential data issues (missing financing data, etc.)

·         Work on ad hoc reporting and assist with analysis requests from other departments (including investing staff, marketing, legal, tax and finance)

·         Assist in the documentation of recurring processes while displaying an ability to understand, challenge, and re-evaluate tasks to improve efficiencies 

·         Assist with year-end audit as it relates to portfolio company data requests, confirmations and valuations

·         Team player willing to put in the hours to learn and assist other group members whenever necessary

 

Qualifications

·         Desired work experience of 3 to 5 years in public accounting, private equity, or financial services

·         Bachelor’s Degree required – Accounting or Finance major preferred

·         Strong in Excel & PowerPoint

·         CPA, CFA, masters a plus

·         Experience with data warehousing and visualization tools a plus
