Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler/Assembly Technician is responsible for working with machine assemblies and subassemblies including microcontrollers. Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to work toward production goals. The Mechanical Assembler/Assembly Technician will also be responsible for final product packaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to understand prints and assembly drawings
• Mechanical assembly of products
• Interpret prints and drawings to assemble and install electrical connectors and other mechanical components
• Basic soldering; through-hole soldering
• Ensure all work is completed on time and within scheduled targets
• Kit parts for subassemblies/assemblies
• Configure & test systems to verify product reliability
• Package products for shipment
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment
• On-the-job training will be provided as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good mechanical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with soldering and electronic/mechanical assembly a plus
• Basic understanding of quality control procedures
• Detail oriented
• Self-motivated with a commitment to achieving production goals
• Strong verbal communication skills

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-year experience in professional mechanical assembly or equivalent training
• Experience installing microcontrollers is a plus, but not required


Work Environment

This position is based in Hollister, CA. This position does not have a remote work option.
