We’re looking for a Senior Manager/Associate Director of Facilities & Site Services who shares our values and vision to move quickly and boldly to create the future of biomanufacturing as part of Resilience’s rapidly growing advanced research projects organization. We’re looking for someone who is excited to develop, lead, and support key facilities and infrastructure projects as we grow and expand our team and operations across several shared office and laboratory environments. 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing tenant improvements and renovation projects, maintenance of facilities systems and equipment, equipment installation and testing, ensuring compliance with the standards and guidelines set forth and enforced by federal, state, and local authorities. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the requirements of a high functioning biotechnology lab/manufacturing space, building management and safety systems, and general compliance codes and regulations. You will take a data-driven approach and keep us at the forefront of the latest facilities management approaches, software systems, and technologies. 
This role requires excellent communication and project management skills, as you will work across many different projects and with many different stakeholders, both internally and externally. 


  • Leading long-term space and facility needs planning and overseeing and directing design, and construction and maintenance programs, including the management of outside project management, engineering, construction, and engineering teams and contractors 
  • Act as the primary interface with Property Management, to ensure correct building maintenance and compliance with lease agreements  
  • Troubleshooting and fixing problems across facilities, equipment, and infrastructure 
  • Manage, maintain and develop key vendor relationships to support facility operations and maintenance (ie. waste management, janitorial, building systems, telecommunications, pest control, security, etc.).  
  • Development and communication of systems, policies and procedures for facilities design, construction and maintenance. 
  • Tracking and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and act as the main point of contact for facilities-related questions and communications
  • Manage contracts, permits, and licenses related to facilities, including building permits, contract negotiations, and vendor COI   
  • Procuring, installing, and maintaining new equipment in partnership with laboratory operations management as well as office equipment and workstations in partnership with office management  
  • Performing regular internal safety inspections and maintaining site and equipment safety and compliance in partnership with laboratory operations team 
  • Establish and maintain facilities budget and accurate spending projections in collaboration with Finance, manage within capital and operating resources and identify significant capital spend requirements during budget preparation in collaboration with Laboratory operations team. 
  • Collaborate and stay closely aligned with manufacturing and technical operations teams to ensure alignment with overall company facilities policies and procedures and to facilitate efficient interoperability of systems transitioning from R&D to manufacturing 


  • 10 + years experience in facilities management or relevant position 
  • BS/BA in engineering, facility management, or relevant field  
  • 10 + experience in a laboratory setting or previous experience in laboratory facilities management and partnering with laboratory operations teams 
  • Well-versed in facilities and operations best practices, with proven experience in a similar role and environment
  • Proven success in managing and delivering cross-functional tasks with effective liaison between Lab Operations and EH&S, IT, Security and Procurement, including external contractors, vendors, professional consultants, and Fire/Building/Planning/governmental agencies  
  • Excellent communication skills -- both verbal and written 
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and project management skills  
  • Results-driven and able to manage projects from start to finish 
  • Relevant experience in working with local/regional architects, designers, MEP engineers, structural, specialty professional engineers 
  • A data-oriented approach and experience with BIM software (e.g. Revit), and building and facilities management software systems. 
  • Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience in a rapidly growing fast-paced startup environment 
  • Certification in facilities management 
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA guidelines, purchasing practices and process validation
