You research trends and anticipate workplace needs to keep the Company competitive when attracting talent to the organization.  You are responsible for developing a real estate strategy and building  the  business case to back up that strategy.  You are also responsible for envisioning, designing, delivering and maintaining an inspiring and productive workplace for our San Francisco employees.
You fully understand the Company business model and growth goals and deeply value the importance of culture that needs to be reflected in the physical space and that needs to extend to employees who work from elsewhere. You partner with the People team to deliver on strategic initiatives that align with diversity, inclusion and belonging for all employees regardless of location. You will also be involved with remote management of our Sydney office.

How You Impact Our Vision

    • Develop and present a real estate strategy and business case for investments in office space to reflect the new working environments of a distributed workforce.
    • Design, deliver and maintain attractive, productive work environments that promote a sense of belonging and community for employees
    • Oversee office leasehold improvement initiatives, where needed, in collaboration with third party providers, on time and on budget
    • Manage the workplace yearly budget
    • Ensure the smooth operations of the day to day office facilities
    • Actively support the Company’s business continuity program for physical crisis events
    • Deliver office health and safety procedures for the prevention of accidents and promotion of a safe working environment.
    • Ensure lease compliance at all times 
    • Participate in and support the process of securing new office space, if needed manage subleases and subtenants, if applicable.

About You:

    • Strategic thinker who anticipates the needs of employees and the organization
    • Excellent people management skills that inspire others to improve their performance
    • An innate ability to develop recommendations and plans with less than perfect information
    • Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
    • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
    • Ability to operate and set priorities to support business outcomes in a fast-paced environment, with little supervision
    • Strong project management skills and problem-solving abilities
    • Sound judgement and decision-making skills;
    • Experience working with vendors, real estate agents and landlords

Minimum Requirements

    • 7+ years of workplace management experience in high growth organizations
    • 5+ years of people management
    • Facilities Management designation or equivalent experience

Preferred skills:

    • Immigration and mobility experience
    • HR Business Partner experience
