Job Description

The Pack Supervisor at the Good Eggs Kitchen (GEK) is expected to exemplify and positively impact the standards of production at GEK.  Be a team leader that inspires and promotes a positive work environment that creates camaraderie, efficiency, and strictly adheres to GEK standards and specifications  at a high output.  

Duties and responsibilities

  • Produce the highest quality products for Good Eggs Kitchen program.

  • Collaborate with all teams to be an active participant in reducing product loss.  

  • Collaborate with peers and work together to complete tasks - We’re in this together!

  • Oversee and collaborate with staff members and ensure they are working up to the brand standards in an open and respectful manner.  

  • Execute Good Eggs current and future business endeavors

  • Partner with the leadership team to ensure the packing team is putting the utmost care into pack out.  

  • Partner with leadership to keep the pack team on task by guiding QC Packers and Packers to optimize their roles  

  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and occupational safety standards

  • Ensure all team members are practicing FIFO rotation and checking dates for quality and freshness.  

  • Lead in proper equipment use and maintenance

  • Ensure all product labels are mistake free

  • Openly and effectively troubleshoot any problems that may occur and properly communicate relevant and necessary information

  • Troubleshoot any problems to create effective and team supportive solutions

  • Finish daily tasks completed daily to high standards

  • Packing products to ordered numbers with quality and standards

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee packer production and communicating any concerns to supervisors where standards or practices, processes are not being met

  • Packers and QC Packers

  • Liason between team and managers - help/advocate/communicate team needs

  • Collaborate with peers, other supervsiors, and sous chefs

  • Take ownership of the team, programs, their own actions 

  • Strong awareness of what’s happening on the floor and ability to see the bigger picture of what needs to get done

  • Minimum 2  years in a similar supervisory experience.  

  • Culinary education is a plus

  • Basic Competency with computers and G-Suite


  • Comfort with a fast paced, focused environment

  • Strong communicator not only on the team but externally to company

  • Highly organized with the ability to plan

  • Passion for local food & solid understanding of healthy cooking

  • Personable, approachable and able to accommodate a wide variety of food preferences

  • Energetic, hard working & committed to the success of the team

  • Strong time-management skills and sense of urgency

  • Willingness to learn and challenge yourself on a daily basis

  • Experience managing or mentoring/training others is ideal

  • Detail Oriented

Working conditions and requirements

  • Flexible schedule prefered.  

  • Some night, weekend, and holiday shifts required.   

  • Job hazards may include slips and falls, cuts, and burns, but injuries are seldom serious.

  • Will be working in front of a computer for ~50% of your shift

  • This position requires slip resistant footwear and uniforms that will be provided to you.   

  • Cold environment for most/all of shift (50 Degrees and below)

Physical demands - any extreme or strenuous activity

  • Must have the ability to work on their feet for eight hours at a stretch, sometimes standing for prolonged periods. 

  • Must also be able to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

  • You activity will be very similar and repetitive throughout all of your shifts.
