ShiftLeft's speed and accuracy enables security to be inserted into every pull request, which provides the right developer with the right vulnerability information at the right time. Hence, vulnerabilities get fixed faster and earlier, which drives down mean-time-to-remediation (MTTR), reduces attack surfaces and minimizes technical debt accrual. Furthermore, ShiftLeft goes beyond technical vulnerabilities (e.g., The OWASP Top Ten) to identify cloud-centric vulnerabilities that traditional static analysis tools can't find, such as business logic flaws, data leakage, hard-coded literals and insider threats.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, self-directed individual capable of identifying diverse multi-faceted prospects around the United States based on region. Be the “General Manager” of your territory to drive ShiftLeft customer adoption and grow the business. The Account Executive is an outside sales position responsible for developing, managing, and closing business within your territory. The role is responsible for driving the sales cycle from prospect to close selling the ShiftLeft platform.

Our Expectations from you:

  • Engage in significant Outbound activity making use of the tools available (discoverorg, Linkedin navigator, Outreach, etc.)
  • Align the ShiftLeft solution to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
  • Proactively and efficiently manage resources with dedicated teams, virtual teams, and executive staff around sales opportunities to ensure successful outcomes
  • Manage complex enterprise sales campaigns with multiple prospect engagement points in Development, and Application Security
  • Execute solution and value selling to existing customer base and new prospects
  • Articulate and promote the vision and positioning of both the company and products, and secure strategic commercial commitments
  • Build a healthy pipeline of revenue and new logos for your target accounts.
  • Accurately forecast business on a quarterly cadence

You may be a fit for our team if you have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in selling to developers. Ideally you have also sold to application security or security.
  • You are humble, immensely inquisitive, and have an “owner” mentality.
  • Demonstrated success in early stage startup ($3M+ in ARR, be in the first 5 reps in a company)
  • Significant strategic sales and strategic customer development experience
  • Creation and execution of quarterly and annual business plans
  • Good executive presence, communication skills, and credibility
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets and consistently ranked top 1-2 on their team
  • History of accurate forecasting and business reporting
  • Significant experience selling disruptive technology into focused markets
