Job Description

Garner is a new health benefit program that helps employees find the best possible doctors in their community. We use our proprietary doctor quality ranking algorithms, consumer-friendly engagement tools, and creative financial incentives to lower out-of-pocket spending for employees while saving employers 10% or more on overall plan costs.

The company is led by former Oscar Health leadership and has secured funding from top-tier venture capital firms.

We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to join our team as we scale our operations. This individual will manage the day-to-day facility and administrative operations of our NYC office and the office of the CEO. We’re looking for a highly organized individual with strong communication skills.

This position is based at Garner HQ in New York City.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing general administrative support to the office of the CEO, including scheduling meetings and drafting email correspondence
  • Overseeing general office operations including ordering supplies and equipment, supervising office vendors, and communicating with the landlord on maintenance issues
  • Helping to drive company culture by planning team events and onboarding new employees
  • Maintaining organization of company’s physical space and digital filerooms (e.g. Google Drive, company wiki)
  • Participating in special projects including (but not limited to) organizing and mailing materials to clients, investigating new office spaces in NYC, and/or other critical administrative projects for the executive team

The ideal candidate has:

  • Previous experience working in a similar operational or administrative role, preferably for an early stage startup
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive outlook and upbeat energy
  • A desire to work in a rapidly evolving startup environment
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system
