Job Description

Airkit began in 2017 when co-founders Adam Evans and Stephen Ehikian got fed up with bad customer experiences.  As consumers of many products, they couldn’t understand why, in the age of big data, AI, cloud computing, and connected products, their interactions with companies were so impersonal, reactive, and time-consuming.   

The Airkit team previously founded and built RelateIQ (sold to Salesforce in 2014). We witnessed first hand how every aspect of the relationship between companies and their customers was changing. Everyone and everything is now connected, and customer expectations are rapidly increasing.

Position Summary

People come first in every aspect of what we do, both internally and externally. Our fast-growing team is seeking a high performing Solutions Consultant to join us as we pioneer the CX universe. 

This team member will initially take on the critical role of working with our early customers to plan, architect, implement, and grow. This team member will own the critically early phase of the customer lifecycle, taking a creative and consultative approach to apply our technology to solve business requirements.

Core Responsibilities

The scope of this position will evolve continuously. Comfort with ambiguity is required. Below is a partial representation of what may be included in the Solution Architect's purview:

Delivery
  • Set the standard for "best practice" application development on the Airkit Platform
  • Lead the delivery of these apps and onboarding of new and existing customers
  • Gather customer requirements
  • Identify creative opportunities to deliver innovative experiences with Airkit
  • Configure existing integrations or build integrations into new systems by utilizing RESTful APIs
  • Develop a testing plan ahead of deployment and lead issue diagnosis/resolution during implementation
  • Measure results and iterate with customers to drive adoption and KPIs
  • Train our customers to use our product independently
Project Management
  • Ensure projects follow a standardized delivery plan
  • Document requirements, timeline, goals/metrics, and interactions
  • Lead or assist with project scoping, project plans
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to ensure that our customers our successful and to identify new opportunities to increase Airkit’s business impact
  • Work closely with our DE (Developer Evangelist) team to build application templates and training materials
  • Inform and help shape our product roadmap with customer use cases and requirements
  • Partner with DEs on complex, custom deployments and requirements
  • Document product feature gaps and effectively communicate customer feedback to engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-5 years years experience in Professional Services or Consulting roles, or similar role in a SaaS business
  • Experience with coding and software implementation (ideally, understand HTML/CSS and have hands-on experience with SQL/DBs, Javascript, and APIs)
  • Experience implementing with CRMs (Salesforce, Zendesk, or with RESTful APIs)
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
  • Desire and ability to go above and beyond to ensure that our customers have a great experience working with us at every part of their journey
  • You are great at improvising and thinking of creative ways to address customer challenges through non-traditional approaches
  • History of success within an early stage environment – strong contributor in building winning products, playbooks, teams and cultures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of success interacting with colleagues in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate in fast iterative cycles
  • Comfortable with travel to go onsite with our customers

Beneficial Experiences

  • SaaS implementation experience strongly preferred and CX SaaS experience is a huge plus
  • Experience working with mid-market to enterprise customers
