Operations are at the heart of our customers’ experience here at THG. We manufacture a wide range of sports nutrition and cosmetic consumer goods that we then despatch to our customers in over 200 countries worldwide from our purpose built, innovative Manufacturing and Distribution Centres.

Due to rapid growth, TTHG is looking to recruit a Dangerous Goods Compliance Officer to ensure THG's shipping operations are compliant with regards to hazardous materials regulations.

Main responsibilities

    Review current products and highlight any which may fall under hazardous remit
    Fully classify any products identified as hazardous following required legislation
    Work closely with Logistics Compliance Officer to ensure any hazardous goods being exported are compliant
    Apply for any required documentation relating to hazardous shipments
    Ensure THG is fully registered and compliant in Hazardous Material Storage and shipment working closely with the storage warehouses and other stakeholders
    Apply for export documentation ensuring they are compliant with import/export legislation
    Classify SKU’s for customs purposes

Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need to have

    Previous experience of working with Hazardous Materials
    Good knowledge of current practices and public health as this relates to hazardous material management
    Previous experience of working in import/export/supply chain
    Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
    Problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure
    Accuracy and attention to detail
    Ability to work under pressure and work to strict deadlines
    Flexibility and ability to adapt and change in response to fast-moving circumstances

You will also need to be based within a reasonable commute of our offices in the North West UK.
