Job Description
The Customer sits at the top of the Spire’s technology stack and drives the priorities and focus across our organization. Spire Global is looking for an Office Manager/Executive Assistant to be responsible for managing the DC Office for the Federal Business Unit under our VP and General Manager Government Solutions Team. In this position, you will work with various vendors and Spire employees to maintain a safe and positive office environment. You will support the VP and General Manager Government Business Unit with administrative support functions. Our preferred candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a business field.
Responsibilities of your role:
- Work directly for Spire’s VP and General Manager of US Federal and be responsible for maintaining a safe and positive office environment and handle administrative support functions
- Coordinate internal resources in the preparation of the responses.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
Basic qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of office manager/executive assistant experience.
- College degree
- You live in the Washington DC area.
Preferred qualifications:
- Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills and errands
- Organize office operations and procedures
- Coordinate with IT department on all office equipment
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlord, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time
- Provide general support to visitors
- Responsible for creating PowerPoint slides and making presentations
- Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events
- Organize orientation and training of new staff members
- Design and implement office policies and procedures
- Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
- Review and approve office supply acquisitions
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment
