About Getaround

Getaround provides a marketplace for peer-to-peer rental of underutilized personal vehicles.

Job Description

At Getaround, we’re building a global platform to enable a future where all cars are shared. There are more than 1 billion cars in the world, and these cars are parked, on average, more than 95% of the time. With instant and keyless carsharing via our patented hardware and software platform and our industry-leading mobile apps, we’re helping communities around the world share these underutilized resources to reduce their vehicle footprint while increasing mobility solutions.
Are you a former investment banking analyst and/or an experienced strategic finance professional who gets excited about rolling up your sleeves and creating high visibility / high impact strategic analysis in support of mission critical business initiatives? We are looking for a strategic finance ninja, a creative problem solver who doesn’t mind wearing a lot of different hats while supporting a wide range of new and existing strategic initiatives. This role requires a highly motivated professional who is excited to play an integral role in our finance team while getting significant exposure to all areas of our growing business. This role will report directly to the VP of Finance and will often work cross-functionally with the Global FP&A team.

What you'll be doing

      • You will be helping our hyperscale startup grow our business efficiently and make data-driven decisions
      • You will own the company-wide investor model and develop a strong understanding of our key drivers and performance indicators by working closely with FP&A, Growth, Data Science, and Operations
      • Assist with fundraising and investor relations, owning as many of the key work streams as you’re able and comfortable with
      • Manage certain external strategic projects and the related analysis to support critical decisions; includes responsibilities similar to a corporate development role
      • Create analyses and presentations to communicate progress of key business and strategic initiatives to executives
      • Work with and assist the Global FP&A team during monthly reporting, quarterly planning and annual budgeting; you will own certain strategic finance aspects of the reporting
      • Special projects will be your friend; you will own a wide variety of ad-hoc strategic analyses while partnering with and supporting multiple cross-functional teams and departments

What you'll need

    • 2-4 years of work experience in one or more of the following fields: investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance or corporate development
    • Strong financial modeling skills are a must, together with demonstrated capabilities building financial forecasts and ad hoc strategic models
    • Exceptional attention to detail and sound business judgment
    • Determined and resourceful; independently capable of seeking information, solving complex problems, compiling resources and delivering results in challenging situations
    • Demonstrated experience supporting key business decisions through detailed analytics
    • Self aware, reflective and highly motivated to learn quickly; self-starter with strong analytical abilities and a good team player
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency with Microsoft Excel (ERP and/or Cloud FP&A experience is a plus but not required)
    • Strong academic track record with a degree in finance, economics or accounting is a major plus, but in lieu of a four year degree we will consider candidates with significant work experience in corporate finance / strategy who can provide strong references

Benefits and Perks

    • Platinum plans for medical, dental, and vision take excellent care of you and your family.
    • Generous stock options and robust 401(K) to help you save and plan for retirement
    • Remote first workplace, flexible work hours, and open PTO policy (we mean it!)
