Job Description

About AspireIQ

AspireIQ is the leading influencer marketing and content creation platform for brands.

The AspireIQ platform makes it possible for today’s brands to build communities of influencers, ambassadors, customers, and fans to drive word of mouth marketing and create amazing content at scale. AspireIQ is trusted by hundreds of thousands of influencers and content creators as well as more than 400 leading consumer brands, including Samsung, HelloFresh, Madewell, and Dyson!

We’re growing across the board - we’ve 3’xd our revenue in the last two years - and we're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our distributed remote engineering team! With a strong focus on growth and personal development, AspireIQ is the perfect place to develop your skills in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment. We’ve built a collaborative and supportive culture that espouses ownership and empathy, which has led AspireIQ to be named one of the “Bay Area's Best Places To Work” by The SF Business Times.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, product-driven engineering manager that wants to help us build a great team and world class product to support the ongoing success of great brands and their communities across the world. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll report directly to our Director of Engineering and will directly manage engineers to help them learn and grow and work towards our goals. You'll work closely with product managers, designers and other stakeholders while also implementing engineering best practices across the team. You can also expect to play a major role in guiding the direction of our architecture and product while working with an open and collaborative team.

What you'll be working on:

  • Working closely with engineers to help develop solutions to difficult problems and major projects for our platform and applications
  • Contributing to a significant part of the technical and organizational strategy for the engineering department to ensure that we're set up for long term success
  • Identifying and implementing best practices to improve our product development process and development experience
  • Fostering and championing a great team culture that embraces ownership and empathy
  • Developing clear and written growth plans for every engineer you manage and delivering constructive feedback to help them learn and grow

What we're looking for:

  • You have managed people for 3+ years and have remote management experience.
  • You practice Servant Leadership. You believe that the real value add for leadership is not telling your team what to do, but finding out what is stopping them from unlocking their full potential as individuals, and getting them to work together as a team.
  • Have established a technical strategy and roadmap previously, successfully setting key performance metrics in close collaboration with other Engineers, Product Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather product & business requirements and align and motivate engineers to work towards clear goals. Proven track record establishing and driving technical advances, reducing tech debt and making significant improvements in systems.
  • A true team-player; someone with excellent communication skills that looks for opportunities to collaborate within and across disciplines.
  • A mentor and manager for fullstack and frontend engineers who understands the latest technologies, best practices and the top challenges of building high quality modern web applications quickly and reliably.

Benefits and Perks

  • Work-Life Balance
    • Flexible work from home policy
    • Unlimited vacation policy
    • 16 weeks paid parental leave
    • Work from home & wellness reimbursement ($60/month)
  • Growth
    • Personalized career planning sessions
    • Annual education credit of $2500
    • Mentorship program
    • Visibility into operations across the company
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance + 401(k) (where applicable)
