Job Description

Algolux is an industry-leading software provider with technology at the intersection of AI, computer vision, and computational imaging. Our award-winning products address mission-critical applications for the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Autonomous Vehicle (AV), Smart City, and video security markets.

We are looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our recruiting team and contribute to the company’s multi-site recruiting efforts for our rapidly growing company. Technical Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical roles. You will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduce our time-to-hire and ensure we attract the best professionals. Ultimately, you will build a strong tech talent pipeline and help hire and retain skilled employees for various Artificial Intelligence (AI) roles, which include, but are not limited to, Computer Vision Researchers, Deep Learning Developers and various software development positions. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain and manage the company’s recruiting pipeline using our Applicant Tracking software
  • Write and post technical job descriptions
  • Source potential candidates using various approaches and platforms
  • Analyze specialized skills and qualifications to screen Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Computational Imaging and Software Engineering resumes
  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions)
  • Coordinate with the recruitment team to forecast department goals and hiring needs
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
  • Work with outside recruiters and staffing agencies to identify new talent
  • Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with Imaging Scientists, Computer Vision Researchers and Software Development professionals
  • Compose job offer letters
  • Onboard new hires
  • Promote Algolux’s reputation as a great place to work

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. phone, Zoom and structured)
  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Computational Imaging and Software Engineering roles
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to learn technical information 
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and labour legislation
  • BSc in Human Resources Management, IT or relevant degree
  • Strong team values
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual (French and English), written and spoken an asset

Desirable:

  • Experience with Computer Vision systems
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience with digital camera systems, e.g., PhotoShop
