THE INTERNSHIP:

The Customer Marketing Intern will be joining a dynamic team committed to driving our customer growth strategy. This role will partner with marketing peers in crafting communication to key security decision makers and gain experience using our marketing automation platform.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Support targeted marketing activities to customers using a variety of tactics (email, social, direct mail, events)
  • Help set up a/b tests to test various tactics, messages, channels, etc. and then recommend optimizations based on performance
  • Conduct online research around targeted customer contacts (i.e. 1:1 ABM accounts)
  • Assist in mapping the customer security journey
  • Research customer preferences and benchmark against other security tech companies to understand how decision-makers and users prefer to receive and seek information 
  • Assist in the development of a post-sale customer communication plan 
  • Coordinate and track customer references
  • Research and update customer reference records tapping into online resources as well as Code42 Customer Success Managers
  • Capture customer success stories and consolidate in reference bank
  • Research new security customers and identify top reference candidates based on fit
  • Assistance with building emails in Marketo or building ABM landing pages

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Strong communication – demonstrates ability to ask questions, write effectively, develop content, collect information from multiple sources and work collaboratively
  • Project management – ability to coordinate multiple moving pieces, keep things moving forward, and communicate risks
  • Data analysis – ability to collect and package data from a variety of sources, including marketing effectiveness with proficiency using Excel
  • Creativity – ability to develop new ideas or take current ideas and make them better
  • Self-starter - intrinsically motivated, resourceful, asks questions 
  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing or related field with a minimum of 2 years of course work completed
  • Ability to work full time (40 hours a week) from June 1st - August 13th (expected dates)
  • We anticipate that the internship will be fully remote
