Alation is seeking a strategic and data-driven Director of Performance Marketing to join our rapidly growing team. As a key member of the demand generation team, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of display, paid search, paid social, and ad operations to drive lead generation, pipeline, brand awareness and sales.
 
 As part of the Alation marketing team, you'll be part of a group that's defining a new category of solutions in data and analytics - Data Catalogs. For this role, we’re looking for someone who has a passion for demand generation and has gone above and beyond to produce best-in-class results.

What You'll Do

    • Manage day-to-day operations and campaign management of all performance marketing in partnership with internal team and external agencies
    • Work with demand gen, revenue ops, and finance to establish quarterly and monthly targets for pipeline from paid channels
    • Develop and execute recommendations of cutting edge tactics and strategies to test through all channels
    • Collaborate with data science team to drive a deeper understanding of success and opportunity areas (targeting strategy, optimal spend, frequency management, etc).
    • Establish and manage all KPIs, reporting, and budget for paid spend, and work closely with revenue operations to understand (and improve) ROI from various channels and campaigns
    • Analyze market trends and competitors’ paid efforts, making recommendations for new technologies where appropriate

Requirements

      • At least 7 years of experience in performance marketing and/or demand generation
      • B2B marketing experience, ideally in BI or data/analytics
      • BA/BS with strong quantitative focus (e.g. Math, Economics, Statistics) or equivalent experience
      • Confidence without attitude
      • Self-starting attitude, great communication skills, and attention to detail
      • Extensive experience in driving digital campaigns for audience acquisition/retention and pipeline growth
      • Experienced, hands-on user of paid search (Google/Bing Ads) and paid social (LinkedIn, FB) platforms
      • In-depth understanding of how to interpret and improve advertising metrics (e.g., CPC, CTR, quality score)
      • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including an understanding of digital marketing analytics and channel ROI
      • Highly proficient in Google Analytics and/or other web reporting tools
      • Proficiency with the Salesforce.com (SFDC) and HubSpot a plus
      • Google Ads and/or other advertising platform certifications a plus
