Job Description

Hi there!

We’re looking for an Onboarding Specialist in APAC time zones to help run our world-class remote employee onboarding experience. Zapier’s on a mission to make everyone more productive at work. Zapier has helped over 1.8 million individuals and businesses with their automation needs.

This person interacts with a diverse group of new employees from all over the world and helps them confidently ramp up in their roles. You’ll schedule onboarding live sessions for new employees worldwide, handle the logistics of welcoming new hires to Zapier, and track onboarding feedback and data. You’ll also facilitate live onboarding sessions on a variety of company topics, answer questions, and help new hires acclimate to their new roles. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented with experience facilitating engaging live online learning. In order to be considered for this role, you must reside in an APAC (Asia-Pacific) time zone.

You have 2+ years of experience as a teacher, facilitator, or onboarding specialist. You know how to connect with a variety of people and move them along a learning journey.

You obsess over details. You understand that little things matter. You notice problems and areas for improvement that no one else does and put the finishing touches on all your work.

You have strong online facilitation skills. You can lead and engage an audience on a variety of topics while creating a comfortable virtual environment so everyone can participate.

You excel at written and verbal communication. You have exceptional written communication skills and know how to make complex topics seem simple when explaining things out loud.

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule onboarding live sessions for new employees across the globe
  • Facilitate live onboarding sessions on a variety of topics
  • Keep onboarding materials up-to-date
  • Answer new hire questions via email, Slack, and live sessions
  • Track and report on onboarding data for reporting out
  • Handle the logistical details of welcoming new hires to Zapier (setting up accounts, delivering equipment, etc.)
  • Be the point of contact for hiring managers when they have onboarding questions
  • Propose and implement ideas and changes to make the onboarding program better
