We are seeking a highly motivated stem cell biologist to join our growing in vitro biology team.  This position will report to the Head of the In Vitro Biology group and will be responsible for the identification and validation of new targets and the in vitro support of the current Discovery and Development pipeline.  If you are looking for a place where you can use your innovative skills to impact the strategy of the company, while remaining close to the lab and the science, we would like to hear from you.   

You are perfect for this role if you are engaged by and want to be responsible for:

  • Leading a Discovery project to IND
  • New target identification, validation, screening for bioactive molecules
  • Responsible for the generation, analysis, and interpretation of in vitro data packages to support advancement of projects into development
  • Partnering with a group of talented discovery scientists
  • Interacting and collaborating with scientists across Discovery and Development

We would be thrilled if you brought the following with you:

  • PhD in a relevant field (biology/immunology) with a minimum of 5 years' research experience or an MS degree with 14 years' in the stem cell field
  • Deep experience with human in vitro cellular techniques, including primary human cell culture, multi-parameter flow cytometry, cell separation/sorting, and functional assays
  • Experience working with hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs)
  • Experience with ex vivo analysis of humanized mouse models
  • Experience performing ELISAs, MSD, and/or Luminex-based assays
  • Experience with molecular techniques used for the identification or validation of new targets (scRNAseq, Citeseq, gene-editing techniques) is a plus
  • Must be a creative, organized, motivated self-starter, capable of independent research with minimal supervision
  • The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
