About the Role
The Business Development Representative will have first contact with prospective customers in the US and Canada. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. You will be responsible for leveraging various channels of communication to track down decision-makers and to ultimately set product demos for Account Executives across various territories. The BDR has a crucial responsibility in being able to communicate dutchie’s values and to also embody a high level of tact and emotional intelligence in doing so. This is a high activity, metrics-driven, role that calls for the utmost tenacity and organization. This is a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sales and work with a product-centric team that is shaping the way consumers buy cannabis online.
What You’ll Do…
- Strive to exceed key performance metrics that will fuel the continued growth for dutchie
- Partner with Account Executives to prioritize, target accounts, prospecting efforts, research accounts, and together identify key players
- Strategize with Account Executives and sales leadership to design a targeted call plan of action
- Use multiple platforms to conduct company and contact research in order to develop accounts and personalize outreach
- Contact prospects through calls, emails, and other channels to get them excited about dutchie
- Schedule product demos between prospect and Account Executives
- Timely and accurate updating of Hubspot customer information, forecasts, and pipeline data to ensure the generation of accurate territory and management reports
- Analyze sales data and recommend new outreach strategies
- Provide suggestions to the SDR team lead to improve external communication and internal processes
What You Bring…
- 1+ years of experience in B2B sales
- Drive, flexibility, willingness to learn, and a passion to win
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot)
