Job Description

Vedere Bio II, Inc. (Vedere) is a stealth-stage company being incubated at Atlas Venture, which is also one  of the Company’s investors. Senior Research Associate, Research & Process Analytics 

In your role, you will support routine analytical testing of research and process development samples.  This highly cross functional role involves running a panel of assays on a weekly basis and will help an  eager candidate to form a solid molecular biological skillset. Success indicators are high levels of  organization, ability to multitask, and a strong desire to learn and develop as a scientist.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced startup focused on gene  therapies and other modalities to develop vision restoration and vision preservation therapies for blind  patients around the globe. 

Responsibilities: 

o Independently perform routine analytical testing to support research, process development,  product characterization, and process understanding (DDPCR, ELISA, cell-based assays,  endotoxin, pH, osmolality, SDS-PAGE/CE-SDS) 

o Support the head of Analytics in developing analytical assays to advance our internal platform  and process. 

o Assist the head of Analytics in designing, planning and executing method development  experiments and performing deep data dives. 

o Independently perform Data Analysis, ELN Documentation, generate SOP or technical reports as  needed. 

o Support team in evaluating new technologies to complement and enhance current analytical  capabilities to meet group needs. 

o Communicate and present data within CMC and Research or to cross-functional groups. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological or related fields with a minimum of 4 years of research experience in academic or industry setting. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented  with innovative attitude  

• Strong organizational, communicative, and analytical skillset 

 

• Independent contributor passionate about benchwork and optimization/troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Previous exposure to cell culture/tissue culture preferred 

• Previous experience with quality control assays strongly preferred
